Default stalling

I have a 2003 Kawasaki Prairie 360. with about 350 hours on it. Cold or warmed up when I come to stop it dies every time. I took the carburater off and checked it. the float needle has a slite ring to it but not in bad shape. I tried adjusting the pilot screw. It also lacks power when going up hill. both problems seem to have started about the same time. When warmed I can play with the throttle and keep it running. It ran great, this just started about a month ago with no indication. I think its flooding and I'm thinking of replacing the float valve needle.
Any thoughts or help

I'm just taking a stab in the dark here, I'm not too knowledgable about mechanical problems but, maybe a problem with your battery?

It does sound like you have a float valve problem with your carb. It could have got damaged some how. I would try replacing it and see how it runs. If not i would rebuild the carb.

Is your transmission sticking? Making you engine turn to slow to stay on.
