Rims?
This might be a dumb question but, does anyone know what the rims are made of? Aluminum or steel. I want to strip the lip of the rim down to silver but, I don't want them to rust if they get wet.Any suggestions would be very helpful
hey shon, i don't think it's a good idea to do that. it may be more of pain in the *** then it's worth..... i know what your trying to do and i do think it would look cool. but if you really want that done i think a pro should do it for you....
stick a magnet on them.. if the magnet stiks they are steel.. if not get out your elbo greese and get polishing.. if you need any tips on how to polish just ask.. I have dont a few sets of wheels.. and IMO the wheels are the hardest part of the bike .. I will do frames all day..
Yea I would let somebody else do it cause because if something happens you will be covered as opposed to you doing and something happens you will coming out the pocket more money with some hassel

I'm with one wheel on this go for it in fact I was thinking of doing the same thing till I saw the backlights in a different color now I want to do that first. I dont think it would be to hard because most aluminum wheels when you strip them the lips already have that polished look to em the spokes mostly come out with that cast silver look... anyways what ever you pick good luck.
