Can anyone tell me if it's 'OK' to start my ZX9R while on both stands (rear swing arm stand + Front head stand). The front tire ground clearance seems to be about 2" higher that the rear back tire clearance.
Is this a safe angle to be running the engine, or does this not matter? Wouldn't want to f*** something up, not knowing what I'm doing.

Great! That is what I was thinking. I just thought I glanced upon something once on that topic, but never read what the topic was really about. I just wanted to make sure.

I just want to start the bike every so often, while it's sitting for the winter.

o yeah man, check the sands prior to starting it. dont kick it in gear and walk away from it or spin the tire at 60mph while standing next to it. long story short. just play it safe. i seen one in 3rd gear vibrate off the rear stand and go through a wall. it was not pretty.
