Default oil leak

I am new to the street bike scene. I have ridden dirt bikes before but dont know jack about street bikes. I just got a '03 zx7r. I noticed a small collection of oil on the underside of the bike. I dont know what its called but I think it is the clutch case cover with the window for the oil and the oil cap on the right side of the bike if you are sitting on it. It is at the bottom of the case I figure its just a bad gasket. And if that is case how hard would it be to change it or should I just take it to the dealer. Thanks for any help

I would probably check your oil level first with the ride completely vertical. It is pretty common to see and overfilled ride and see the excess oil vapor to be pushed into the airbox and then drain out the drain tube. Wipe down the engine so that everything is clean so the leak can be located better.

well i wiped the engine down and the fill window is all oil when it is straight up and down so i bet that is what it is. there is no oil spots in the garage or anything. the oil looks kind of spotty and like a vapor would have went on the oil pan and clutch case cover. the bike only has 6k on it so i couldnt really see the gasket going bad after all. i guess that was something i didnt know about these bikes so thanks.
