no start! help
update....okay so after I found out that the starter wasnt getting power i decided to see why not. my bike usually only starts if the kickstand is up, unless it is in neutral with the kickstand down I can start it. so since my left peg is broken (forget to mention this) it is currently in gear. so for me to even start it I have to have it upright, the kickstand up and the lever engaged... OK still no start after i did that. so i looked around and jumped the starter straight to see if it even turned on/ or over. IT DID. Bike started right up if I jump it straight, which is good, atleast I know it still runs. now I have to find out why it doesnt, the norm way. so i checked all the fuses again left to right, top to bottom. all are good none are blown. (check)
next i started it straight again, this time thru jumping it from behing the fuse box, and not the starter straight. it worked that way too.....but where I got a little help was when I put a ground to the neutral switch. it is dead under the kickstand, just one plug, so when i put a ground to it, on the dash lite up the "N" green sign, I left the ground in the switch, and then tried to crank again normally, and what do ya know it started up just like any bike should start up...
so here is where it gets confusing again, since I didnt have the left peg It was in gear which is fine with me, so i just have to wait till the peg and shifter get here from Kawasaki to install it
But wait there is more.! when I did start it the normal way, now the OIL LIGHT stays on. so i thought maybe there is low oil, nope, full to the line with a new filter. then i thought maybe the oil pump went bad?? which isnt good so i turned off the motor, didnt want half the engine getting oil supply and not the other half
so here are my questions
what should i do??! lol
- where should i go from here? keep checking oil units?? like oil pump? maybe an oil sensor?? where are they at?
thanks for all your help so far.... keep it comming.!
