New Battery Topic 2021
Around late 2017 I bought and put a new gel battery in my 2012 KLR. I was not exactly a direct fit but I made it work. several years later, it just died and I need a new battery. I'm looking for a direct fit option that last another 3+ years. My last battery was this one and I was very happy with it other than it not so much being a direct fit as the ad suggested:
So what do you like out there this year. What worked for you since 2017 or even before for the same price?
Thanks peeps! For the record; I'm about to sell this 2012 KLR650. It is nearly perfect but a previous owner must have left it out in a yard or something because the plastics being the front and rear fenders have a haze on them. The fenders and the luggage rack are faded. It has a few upgrades from Eagle Mike but otherwise is basically stock but no longer runs lean. This bike is awesome. I'm thinking about $3,600.00. It is plated and has recently been inspected and registered. It runs awesome! It fell over once while parked on a hot asphalt since I had it due to a after-market kick stand that I already replaced with the stock one. Dang, I ranted! Tell me about a great/cheap battery that you love and would want in a totally awesome used KLR you just bought. I'm in Houston!!!
