This may sound strange to some but I recently purchased a 1992 zzr250 and I
was wondering is there any way to make it quieter. Its a great bike but in my estate there are a number of newly born babies and I dont want to wake them up every morning. Any help would be appreciated.

 

is it a stock pipe??? you could push the bike out and start it away from the area...

 

yeah as far as I know there's been no modifications to it at all. Its a cracking bike
but just need to hush it down a bit! Too lazy to push

 

maybe a new pipe that has a removable insert to keep it quieter...the pipe you have now is probably shot...

 

buy a scooter and park the bike out of the neighborhood?

Even with straight pipes a 250 isn't THAT loud...

 

Right Ive had a good look at the exhaust (only bought the bike last week)
Theres a lot of rust on it so I reckon it's probably gotten a bit broken up over
the years. Can anyone tell me where i could possibly get a replacement?
