Was at the track a couple weeks ago, had a momentary lapse of reasoning in a straightaway and revved my engine well into the redline. My bike, from what I can tell from talking to other people, hit the rev limiter and cut power to the engine. I immediately slowed down and learned a valuable lesson. Problem is since then it appears the rev limiter is still disengaging the bike but now at around 12k rpms. Needless to say this sux, especially when I'm trying to ride on the track. Does anyone know what to do in this situation? Is it electrical? The engine runs fine below 12k so I don't think it's anything mechnical. In my limited ignoranceI tried just resetting the bike by disconnecting the battery, no luck. Could this be a power commander issue? Help is greatly needed here, headed to Barbers this Saturday, would be nice to have my higher rpms back.
