I've got my rear wheel off the KZ750to change out the tire, and figured while I have it apart I would maybe put a larger rear sprocket on. I want to knowif you would likely have to get a longer chain whengoing from the original 32 tooth sprocket to a 36 or 40 tooth.

if your going to change sprockets i would change the chain anyways. if there is any wear on the chain it will ruin the new sprockets very quickly. as far as needing a longer chain, maybe the 36 won't but the 40 probably will. i would order a chain/sprocketscombo. replacing both front and back. and then you can either cut the chain to length or it willl come precut to the sprockets you order.

Thanks for the advice.

My old chain and rear sprocket don't really showmuch wear. But, I don't know how much adjustment I would have leftafterjumpingup 8 teeth. It's probably for the best to replace it all. I wasn't able to find any chain/sprocket kits for my bike though. It must be too old.[:'(]
