Default Leaking O-ring on the Gear sensor

Hi,

My 2017 Ninja 650 has developed a mild leak in the O-ring on the gear sensor. I plan on replacing the O-ring. Will that be a sufficient fix? Have others seen similar trouble?

Cheers,
AN

It will if that is indeed leaking, It's easy to get that mixed up with excessive chain lube which pools in that area especially if you use a Scottoiler.
I would clean the area thoroughly and watch to see where it starts to leak or not first.

Thanks so much for that tip. Hopefully it'll just be some oil flung from the chain! I cleaned it good this weekend and will keep an eye on it!

Thanks!
