have just bought the new er6f and as i@m riding i'm riding i'm getting a tapping noise from the engine any ideas?

I would think it would be the same engine??? Anyway, if you just bought it, I am guessing new, then shouldn't it be under warranty.. You should take it in asap before any major damage arrises just in case you know...

yeh it is new, i tried taking it back to the shop last fri and they said they couldn't here it and said it was just the chain rubbing so they altered the chain, but it still makes it, someone else has rode it and they can here it and suggested it could be the tappets but i aint mechanically minded so dont know what it is
