Hey everybody. Im Peter and im new to KF. I have a 2007 ZX6r ninja and im having some trouble. there is a tapping noise coming from the engine. at first i thought the oil needed to be changed but it didnt make the noise go away. then i replaced the cam chain tensioner thinking it was acting up and still no luck. right now im at a crossroad. either i split a bearing or the valves are tapping...does anybody have an idea... HELP???

 

How many miles? The ticking on the zx6r's are notorious for that, it's just the way it is.

 

man. i hope its not bad for an 07.. wheres the vicinity of the noise.. upper head? lower in the case? feed us thy info.

wh, the 07's really did not improve the noise issues all too well either.

You replaced the CCT? With a new one? or with a manual adjuster?
