Default Jet Kit causing trouble?

Still can't get her running, I'm going to double check my timing either today or tomorrow, but do you think it could be the new jet's I'm running? I swapped for 115's and the needles. I didn't adjust the idle mixture screw mainly because I was informed that I wouldn't have to unless adsolutely needed. But I put in the main jets and needles the way the instructions said (one c clip on the 1st and 3rd from bottom of the needle) and screwed in the main jets, but I also noticed it didn't have any requirments as to how far out they should be, it looked like they were about 2 and half turns out with the stock ones so I tried to mimic it with the new ones. Could it be the carb's?

It was brought to my attention that it is my compression, and after some thought I think it is.

I didn't hone it but I think I'll disassemble the engine again and double check. Does anyone know which compression ring should go on top? My set came with a silver one and a blackish one, I put the black on top. And if I hone out the cylinders a bit would the rings still seal nicely?

I'm sorry for all the questions, but I am getting extremely aggravated, and this is my first time doing such an extensive internal job. I appreciate all the feedback I have been getting greatly.

Use your compression tester if you suspect your compression being an issue. Not sure on the color specs on your rings. Which manufacturer for the rings?

I'd have to double check, got em from bike bandit, I'm thinking of shooting them an email if they can tell me what the order is. Bike is an EX250.

I'm picking up a compression tester tomorrow, everything electronically is fine, carb's never have a problem filling up, etc. Makes sense that it would be the compression though just by the way the engine has been acting (or lack there of) when I try to roll start it. Thanks again guys.

Let us know how the compression test works. I don't know which ring goes where, but I do know that if you hone your cylinders, it will create a better seal with new rings.

Take a pic of the hone for us if you have to dig into it again!
