Ignition Issues
I have a 1982 KZ440 LTD
I went to start my bike last night after the first time I actually used the handlebar lock on it. And nothing, turned the key, no lights came on and pressed the button and obviously the starter wouldn't turn over. I thought it might be a dead battery but tested it and attempted to jump it and still no dice. I also looked around for loose or broken wires and didn't find any. Is there something inside the ignition area like a kill switch that prevents the bike from even turning on the electrical system that might be stuck after using the handlebar locks?

Thought I had it fixed, then it died on me again, figured out that what I thought was a loose connection was NOT the problem, went back and screwed around and found a bad connection on the other side of the bike, cut out that connection and installed new connectors and NOW the bike is running fine, lol.
