How do I check my antifreeze?
If your just checking the coolant there is no need to bleed the system.. I think C10 was getting more to if you do a flush, or have to change out a hose, or watter pump etc.
this spring i will be doing a flush and putting new thermostat in, just for a little preventative maintains. I also am thinking about refilling the system with watter wetter.. and i do hope to get a road course day in this year too...

Bet you guys couldn't tell I'm a newbie to bikes
! Come April, I'm taking a motorcyle safety course and then get my license. I want to be able to do the majority of work to the bike myself so that I'm not bugging my husband all the time. Since I'm not sharing the bike with him, I thought it was only fair to do my own maintenance. Thanks for the help guys, I'm sure I'll be running a lot of other questions by ya later on.

There is no way I'd get my license without taking it. The way I look at it, its one weekend of your time and you get to ride their bikes (I'd hate to damage mine in any way before I was licensed).
So between taking the course and getting some pointers from my dad (he's been riding for over 20 years), I'll learn a lot.
I can't wait for spring, I think they usually put on the first MSF at the end of April. So I'll be getting two awesome things this spring, my license to drive the bike and my car out of storage.

Just remember there are rides that have gone down, and there are rides that will go down.. its just a matter of time. Take the MSF course defiantly reduces that fact
Oh I know, I hope that it'll be later than sooner. It would really suck to scratch (or worse) my bike, for a 94 it is in awesome shape. No dents, just a small scatch on the fairing. The guy that owned it before me took awesome care of the bike.
