help antifreeze leak
Not mine, but a friend of mine has a prairie 700 and last night it blew a hole in what appears to be some sort of inline valve for antifreeze. I'm not that familiar with them so what is that? is it needed? where can he get one?
thanks

you cant miss it really , it's on the right side(as you are sitting) right behind the section of tubing that goes down to the case. at first glimpse it looks like an inline filter, but once we got it off we could see that the fat end had a white plunger type valve.

I am not real sure which piece you are talking about. But I have never owned a newer model 700 either. They have come along way since my old 400ex..lol..... Maybe a heat control valve?
Try this link and see if you can indentify which part it is....

RE: help antifreeze leak
I willing to bet you are speaking of the thermostat. It controls coolant flow according to the temperature of the engine.
When the engine is first started, it restricts flow until the motor heats up, once at operating temperature, it allows the flow of coolant to keep the temperature of the engine stable.
You should definetly be able to pick one of those up at the stealership.
