Default leaking antifreeze

I have a 2004 Ninja ZX-6RR. It has 3200 miles on it now. Recent, around 3100 miles, I noticed an antifreeze leak. Its only a few drops, maybe the size of a teaspoon. When I get finish riding i don't see any leaks on the floor but about 2hrs later there are 2 drops on the garage floor. I couldn't trace it down but tightened the hoses that I could get to and took it to the dealer. The service man said that it was a lose clamp and they tightened it. Drove it home today, check when I parked, no leaks, and checked two hrs later and I saw the 2 drops on the floor again. Any suggestions as to where it might be coming from?

It could still be a deteriorated hose causing a leak.

I am thinking the same as markmeinteil mentioned. but look at your ride, watch and learn type of deal. See where it is leaking from.

how hots your bike when you shut it down ? could be dumping off pressure from the overflow can or just a little left in the tubes. pull off the fairings and trace the lines.

There was a problem with the 03-04's leaking at the radiator hose clamp areas. Just tighten the clamps; especially the one on the RH side under the inner fairing cover by the cap and the one on the lower LH side. There was a Sevice Bulletin on this from Kawasaki.

Thats what I was thinking... i would pull the hose off and clean the area around where the hose clamps. If it was leaking from there it will dry up and make it hard to seal again by just tightening it. Good luck

Had this happen to a buddy on his 05 636. Was the same thing. He checked the hoses, cleaned them and then re-tightened them. No problems since.

I had an similar issue with my 05, I only leaked a couple ounces after shutting down. Every once and a while would smell antifreeze burning off the motor while riding. Took it in, found nothing but a crush washer that wasn't installed properly...

Hey I just talked to a guy that works next to me and he has an 05 636. He said between 3-4k mi his water pump keep leaking. Had to take it back to the dealer about 3 times to get it fixed. Now he has 7k mi and antifreeze is leaking from the head gasket down the front of the engine right below cyl 3 exhaust tube. his bike has never been down.

It's a LEMON and he can get a new bike under the Lemon Law because he has had the same problem more than 3 times in such a short period of time. Have him look into it.
