Default hesitation

Newbie here, just bought a 1990 ninja zx7/zx750f and I am getting hesitation when I hit it hard. Itsputters a bitbefore it gives me power out the behind. Engine runs and idles fine other than that. Ive heard that the carbs needs cleaning or "tweeked" but also looking for other input. Any input is greatly appreciated.

I would agree with synicing the carbs. Maybe a good cleaning of the carbs is needed too. then synic them .

Your manual will assist you if you do not have any buds on hand that know it. Get the gauges, hook them up and follow the book. Intimidating at first but you should be able to do it. Once you know that the carbs are in synch, then you can play with mid range, jets, etc and be spot on.

edit: Then after the carbs are back together again, I like to double check the synch

About $150 or so I think. If you plan on keeping a ride in your stall that runs carbs, a tool for $100 lets say is a nice tool to have.
