Default HAD A BAD CRASH...serious ?

I had a bad crash a few weeks ago, broke some bones, totaled the bike
(03 636) and honestly dont remember much of the crash. The bike was brought to my house the night of the crash by a friend and is still here but Copart is coming to get it today. My ? is the bike wont shift gears or come out of gear. Is it possible the transmission tore up? I just dont remember what happened and its driving me crazy! The bike is too destroyed for me to try to start it, and im not in any shape to mess with it much. Just curious if thats a possibilty? any ideas?

Well just remember that anything material we have can be replaced. Arms, legs and brains...not so much.

yeah, bummer on the get off. What gear were you wearing? A lot of damage to your body for wearing gear. heal up nicely and too bad about the ride.

I was wearing bluejeans, a regular sweatshirt, and a helmet. I will say, i'd be alot better off I believe if I were wearing gloves, but you live and learn

Ouchy, the gear is cheaper than the med bills. I doubt you messed up the tranny, but who knows with a bad down. I'd say the shifter and linkage is probably bent and causing it to bind. Good luck on getting back on the road, hope you heal quick.

If "they" are coming to get it...... don't worry about it, just take care of yourself and get better to ride again. I was/am the poster child for this- killed a cow back in june of 96' or maybe 95'........ getting old
