got spark?
argh, i have recently aquired a 1972 f6 125 an unbelievably it has no spark.. i tried the points. condenser, coil with plug wire andstill no spark.dmm show current and voltage when kicked..does this bike require a battery to help produce spark?? also what does the gapping need to be on the points and on the pick ups for the fly wheel.. plz help
Probably a stupid question, have you changed the plug? Where in the food chain is your dmm showing juice? If the plug is fouled, you can jump up and down on the kick arm all day and nothing will happen.
I don'tknow the numbers for your gaps, but if you're gettinga meter readingand you're SURE the spark path is functional (i.e. all the parts you mentioned are OK) then the plug ought to fire. Otherwise, work your way through with the meter. Good luck!
