Default Forum please help! zx600 rebuild

Idle wont hold...haven't adjusted the carbs on this rebuild. However I have to plug them with rags to get it to start pretty much. i think I barely got it started once or twice today without them while the bike was still warm. theres a slight exaust leak nothing major. i have to get a new bracket for one of the pipes. Bikes staged all the **** blowing out white smoke all over hahhahahah

If anyone is listening and can help thank you...

tough call since a newly started motor may have some smoke from assembly. But not from what you mentioned. How was your cam chain and crank mark position when you assembled the engine? etc. Get the basics rolling first and back track some if needed, the carbs could have been screwed up on the shelf time as in removal and installation. check your plugs etc.

Good luck
