Default 02 ZX600 Carb Help PLEASE!!!!!Pretty please!!!!

First of all, this bike is just the zx600. It is NOT the cooler zx600R model.

My question is, can the brass tube that the large needle valve (the one that drops in through the diaphram from the top of the carb) be replaced? I was told that it needed to be removed and cleaned properly, however, when i tried to tap it out from the bottom of the carb as instructed, it just bent and is not budging.

When looking at the carb from the BOTTOM, it is the largest, solid brass tube protruding downwards. The large needle valve is placed inside this tube, from the top side of the carb.

Am I screwed? Can it be replaced? If so, how? If not, are there any other carbs that are direct replacements? Will the 600R carbs fit my regular model zx600?

Welcome to KF. I will take your ride since you do not like that cooler bike. lol

Yes the needles, needle jet and main jets are replaceable. Still trying to figure how anyone is able to "bend" the needle. Why are you "tapping out the needle"? The needle has a clip at the top, remove that and it pulls right out from the top.
