Default Can i undo this?

So the guy who owned my bike before me decided it would be a good idea to tint the windscreen himself.
...it turned out like crap. I want to know if there is a cleaner or procedure that i could use to get rid of the god-awful mess the dude created?

And after i get his mess off of my screen, how would anyone recomend doing it myself? i still want to be able to see through it, so no black spray paint like i read some members did.

Thanks guys for helping out a newbie!

tint should just peal off with some effort and then soap and water to clean off the the screen.

It's not a film tint, but like he sprayed on a watered down black paint. Still just soap and water?

I would try some plastic polish, or maybe some toothpaste. How thick did thisidiot spray it.

A plexus product would prolly work. They have a couple of different grits.

It's sprayed on light enough to let light in. It just looks like the guy rushed through it. You can see some runs, and where there was a bubble or four that popped and started to spiderweb.

I just want to get rid of itb/c it looks like crap.

I'm going to have a long day tomorrow, maybe i can stop by an auto store and look for something. Then i'll just bust out the elbow grease with some cleaneror toothpaste (i'll give it a try).

Thanks guys!

hahaha, yes toothpaste is a good abrasive. After you brush, try it on the screen? I just have not tried it.

If you have a late model bike, just buy another screen and don't waste your time and money buying stuff to remove someone else'sbotch-job. You won't like the screen when you finally get the crap off, and you probably won't like it after you spend more money to re-tint. With a new one, you'll have a spare.
