Default brake pads...

JUst put on my new Galfer brake pads. The stock pads were quiet and you can here the galfers hitting the rotor (sandpaper rubbing sound)when you squeeze the brakes. Is this normal? It doesn't sound bad, but you can definitely hear it when the brakes are applied.

My Vesrah do the same. Plus I have a drag happening. Which galfers did you install?

They are the Galfer HH pads. I heard they were pretty good so I bought them, they work really well so far.

on disk brakes and a little of sticky pads and materials will sound off some. The risk of rotor warpage and wear is just a trade off.
So, you need to understand what you want. Rotor replacements or great grip on the track or street? That is prolly the best anology so far.
The HH is a good pad for some, and to some setups. You go to a more aggressive pad, the noise/scraping is more noticable.
