Brake pad advice

Brake pad advice
I've done a lot of work on my bike to make it faster (full evo exhaust, Power commander, K&N air filter, -1 +2 AFAM sprockets, Dunlop Qualifiers, and an EK 520 chain), and had plans for my next mod to be the timing adjuster add on for the PCIII when I realized that I haven't done anything to help me stop faster now that my bike is far from stock. I was wondering what would be the best way to go (other than a full brembo set up). I only go to the track twice a year at the most, so would I be ok w/ just steel braided lines and new pads? or should I change out the master cylinder and the rotors as well? How much is not enough? what are the top 3 brake pads out there, and is there a clear #1, or is it all personal preference? would HH pads be too agressive for street use? any help would be appreciated.

RE: Brake pad advice
I only have experience with SBS and Vesrah pads. Use the SBS on the 7 for track use with good results. I am sure that would be a good street brake pad, although never played with them on the streets. The Vesrah SJRL's are too radical inital bite for the streets, so would think that the JRL's would work better on the streets. I have not played with other brands. Steel lines are the first thing I add to my rides, suspension and tires are second, with pads being third. Good luck

RE: Brake pad advice
check the rotors available from www.ebcbrakes.com/motorcycle.html.
As for going for a full brembo kit, I'd just re condition my old ones, the brakes on my 20yr old RX1000 work well enough.
For more advice on brakes you could check my web site if you get time (www.dogdragons.comcheck the maintanace section)
Have fun
