I did not see that in my manual just yet, but why would you compress the valve spring in that picture if the explaination was followed?

Float height, 17mm, and the .5 +/- 1mm was for the service fuel level.

hmm, a factory manual explaination compared to a general way for other bikes. Do I need to answer this? lol still good info to pick your own methods and comparisons on how you would do it next time.

fuel pump, gravity will fill the bowls but not fast enough to keep them full when riding.

same thing happened when the pump went out on my 95 zx6r
