bike died on side of the road
went out rideinh the other day went about 70 miles and my bike acted like it was starveing for gas of a fouled plug and stalled. it started with chocl on but then would stall and not start again. i waited about a hour on the sid eof road and it started up ran great until about five miles down road and did it again. wouldnt start unless chock was on then died again then would not start. got a trailor and got it home took plugs out and everything was burning great was getting fuel and everything. i found two wired that plug into the bottom of the gas tank and one of them was blacked taped togeather and it pretty much fell off in my hand rewired it and it started and ran fine went about 300 miles and still runs great. does anyone know what the wires are for and do you think it was the problome
Ok that two wire plug on your tank is the fuel sending unit . Your ZX11 is the ken to my ZRX . Your bike died because the fuel vent in the tank cap is nolonger venting properly . Next time open the cap and watch the bike start for ya . It is a very common problem
with ZRX'x and ZX 11's
Chain adjustment is by the ecentrics . Or the round circle things in the back of your swingarm . Losen the pinch bolts and use the Allen wrench that came in your tool kit to rotate them . one will turn the other as long as you dont losen the AXLE!!! .
The have marks on the ecentrics , and one mark on each side of the swingarm . Make them match on each side . About .5 inchs
in the middle of the chain is how much slack you want . To tight and you wear the chain and sprockets out and lose performance/horse power by being to tight .
I will cheak back tomorrow .
