Default 97 KX 125 forks nightmare

just bought a 97 kx 125.....took the front forks apart and they are a nightmare inside, full of mud, completely trashed, probly never ever serviced and leaking very badly......my local shop said they would need a complete internal rebuild......so, my 1st question is, does anyone know where I can get a free complete front fork breakdown of how to out them back together, and my 2nd question is, where can i get the parts to completely rebuild them?
Any help is greatly appreciated!!!

Welcome to KF

You could try and obtain the "free manual". But for less than $10, a full factory manual can also be obtained from ebay. I prefer to have hardcopies on the shelf personally.

Concerning your second question: I have dealt with cheap cycle parts, bandit and chaplin kawasaki with good results on the newer stuff.

Thank you for the helpful advice! A local shop here in Chattanooga TN was able to rebuild the forks for a very fair price! The bike feels new!
