74 z1-900r,can i use swingarm and rim,disc brakes
i have a complete runnin '74 z1-900r,just bought a '81 kz 750 parts bike,want to change from spoke rims to the 81's mags, the z is bored and is quick as hell,but i dont trust the original spoke wheels,plus i thought it would look good, rims are correct sizes,but the z1 has drum brakes,doe's neone know if i can switch the whole swingarm assembly over? the '81 kz has disc brakes. thanx,rex

appreciate ur response! i found an extended swingarm today,so that should solve my problem,now i just gotta figure brake mounts and such! keep the metal side up and the rubber side down!

since you have both rides, take your mic and calipers out and check the swingarm pivot sizes and width. Welcome to KF
