Default 636 Down!!!

So my 636 has been sitting for a minute and now won't start I'm so dam frustrated that I'm actually tempeted to take it to the dealership to have it worked on. So I'm not a complete jackass, I've drained the tank and put new gas in. I've gotten that far, checked the plugs and they are fine, the one thing that seems to be the constant though is that when I turn the key to the on position the digital tach only goes to like 4 grand before going back down to zero. There is a clicking that seems to happen and the FI light blinks just about at the same pace as the clicking. I would appreciate some extra insight on what to do next cause it's about to start getting nice around here and I wanna ride!!!!

click click click is normal. if you hit the start button and get nothing, your batterys more than likely drained. what exhaust are you running, does it have a servo stop, how long has it been sitting ??? 20 bucks says its the battery

im leanin more toward the battery also, give it a good charge & see if that helps, also make sure you hear the fuel pump prime up when you turn the key to the start button

Did you leave it over winter without any battry maintenance?

It should have a monthly trickle charge or be connected to a tender while the bike isn't being used. Yours is flat. It might be OK after being recharged or you might need to replace it.

Hope you changed the oil and filter before laying it up.

battery or connection issue. Fuel pump does not fully operate, tach, etc. Try and charge the battery up.

Welcome to KF
