Default 220 bayou loses spark at 2500 rpm???

Hi,

I have a 220 that will run all day under about 2500 rpm, if I rev it loses spark and dies. I bought this thing thinking it was a carb, plug, valve, or loose wires problem, but they all checked out, but the starter and the starter relay are bad. Could they be the cause? I used a dual plug coil for testing and has good spark until 2500 rpm. please help thank you...

Are you sure its not a plugged jet? I have seen bikes cut off when throttle is applied... Just a thought. The idle jet will keep it running, but then when you try to give it gas the main is plugged and it won't run. Just a thought, I'm definitely no expert here. There are a lot of other guys on here that know better than me.

check the regulator/rectifier and the alternator output. Good luck I do not own a bayou manual.
