I have a 88 220 that has me scraching my head. It will run all day until it hits 2500 rpm. It loses spark at high rpm could. I bought the bike like this and
though it could be carb, bad gas, tight or sticky valves, plug, or loose connections, but no luck. I hook up a dual plug coil to test and it has great spark up to about 2500 rpm. The starter and starter relay are both bad. I've
never came across this and was hoping for some help.....thanks.
