2009 KLR Carb(?) Issue
I recently purchased a California 2009 KLR from the original owner with only 3000 miles on it. He had not ridden it for 5 years and had left it full of gas so I flushed the fuel and rebuilt the carb.
It started great after the carb rebuild but once the engine got to full temp with the choke off it would stall if I throttled it above 2000rpm. I could choke it and it get the rpms to 4000 with no signs of stalling.
I felt I didn't get the greatest carb rebuild kit off of Amazon so I went to the local dealer and ordered another kit. Same problem still exists after installing that one.
Did I perhaps not adequately clean some circuit on the carb or could my issue be other than carb-related?
