Default 2005 Ninja 250 Won't Start

I recently bought a 2005 ninja 250R and for the first few days it ran with no problems at all. All of a sudden it decided to not start. When hitting the electric start absolutely nothing happens. I messed with wires and cables, and it seemed that the clutch was somehow linked to the problem. I'm not sure if by coincidence or not, but when I mess with the clutch cable enough the starter seems to engage. I'm not sure if there is some kill switch that the clutch may trigger that is causing this, or if the starter switch may be shot. Battery is good, lights all still work and usually the bike will eventually fire up as if there was no problem.

Also, the bike bucks when shifting from nuetral to first with the clutch pulled and the bike stopped. I'm new to riding, but it seems that the motor/trans should be completely disengaged when pulling the clutch.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks

hahaha, love it whena rider can figure out things. Ie, look in your start circuit and the clutch. They are linked.

Welcome to KF!
