Default 1989 ZX10 smoking lots

Hi, I have a 1989 ZX10 with 7500 miles on the clock.
It had been parked up for at least 5 years when I got it and wouldn't run, a local bike shop cleaned out the carbs and put new inlet and airbox rubbers on and it ran fine.
Did about 40 miles on it and then as sods law would have it I fell off it at a stand still when I went to work on it.
Once I got home I noticed it was smoking badly, it still seems to run fine but there is a lot of blue smoke
I guess it could be rings, guides or stem seals after being run after standing for so long but I read on a Triumph forum a few years back that if their tripples fell over whilst running oil could be sucked up somewhere, all a bit vague but this was years ago I read it and can't find it again and as the Triumph engine is based on the Kawasaki I wondered if there was something similar that happened to Kawasakis.
Cheers.

Welcome to KF! I have never seen a bike smoke badly after a down, but I can tell you there is definately stuff that gets in places it doesnt need to be. I would make sure the oil level is good and give her a good run to clear it out. If it still smokes after that there make be a problem. Good luck!

Yes, welcome to KF and verify your oil sight glass level. edit (in case a float is now stuck). You may want to check the airbox to wipe out any excess oil that may be in there and verify that the air filter is clean. A simple fall over is just that. Some flooding from the carbs if vented correctly. Normally not a biggey. good luck with the troubleshoot.

Welcome to KF. If the above doesn't help, try Nicoderm CQ.
