1978 KM100 Rebuilt top and bottom NO SPARK
I have a 1978 Kawasaki KM100 2 cycle, I have just reassembled the engine after having cylinder and piston upgraded as well as crank rebuilt. I have NO SPARK, checked wiring from magneto and tested coil both are good..... Any ideas as to why I have no spark????
Thanks
Thanks
Points ???
Something that ancient should have points and condenser. Unless changed over to electronic. If you're confident they're o.k., then your rectifier is bad. (yet another ancient accessory to that year)
Rectifier changes AC current from magneto, to DC current for the coil, lights, starter, etc...
Now days, it's incorporated into the voltage regulator. But back then................
