Today was my first real long ride. It was a 200 mile trip to be exact. So it would have been a great day all together if I didn't make one of the stupidest mistakes I have ever done since starting riding. The ride was to a rural area where there would be a lot of country roads and twistys. That was one of the major reasons for going. I had a little fun and finally when it was time to start heading back home i made a u turn on a really narrow road and wound up on a dirt shoulder. The road was uneven with the shoulder and I tried going back on it and the bike tipped over. I was barely moving. My leg was caught under the bike, but I managed to pull it through. Another biker was passing by and helped me get the bike back up. (This further augmented my respect for bikers as a whole and I salute all of you[sm=americanasmiley.gif], especially since all of the cagers passing by pretended like they did not even see me there). Well, that pretty much ended my fun. It turns out that my rightfairing was all scratched up and there was a hole in it, probably from a rockit landed on. (A couple of months agoI laid down the bike on itsleft side and I was planning on buying a new fairing before summer started, but to hell with that idea now).I rode back pretty angry, while havingcagers almost run me off the road3 times. That pissed me off evenmore.


So to make the long story short, I want to just buy a semi- cheap decal set to cover up the cosmetic damage. If I buy 2 new fairings it will be about $300+ and I rather spend around $50 on some decals and use the saved up money to buy some performance parts. So if any of you guys know where I can get a cool decal set (anything you know of...moto gp set, monster energy, etc), please let me know.

Bummer man, the new monster decal for your bike might cover up most of the damage. Try e-bay for 35.00-50.00.

 

Damn mate. You have to watch that gravel. It creeps up on you...

Is it only $300 for 2 fairings over there?

$660 per fairing down here... That was for the mid fairing.
