Default Tire pressure 2009 ninja 250

Hey all, newbie question here. I weight 238 pounds and my current tire pressure is 26 rear 25 front. I beleive the max cold is 36 psi. Anyway, I am not having any problems, it came from the dealer at that pressure. Should it be higher ????

I found this article which tends to agree with my current pressure.

TIRES:
Based on bike feedback from yesterday's ride, I went with my plan to drop the tire pressure before heading out today. I went with 25 PSI (cold), in both front and rear.

I think this was a good decision, as I noticed a couple of positive effects:

It softened up a bit of the "harshness" that was being transferred into the bike's chassis, on the rough/bumpy surfaces
The tires seemed to have a higher level of "grip" with the pavement; on both rough or smooth pavement

Next time list the tire as well as with your setup.

edit: Kawi's main site does not list the tire either.

I only have access to the supplementary manual up to 2005. Manufacturer's suggested cold pressures were 28/32.

Sorry Drag, for posting that in the wrong area. Thanks for checking on this guys. I did locate the infomation and tried some different pressures. I have RoadRunner tires that came with my new bike.

My manual says 2.25 kg/cm2 = 32 PSI, rear tire and 2.00 kg/cm2 = 28.4 PSI front tire. Upon checking my original pressure was 26 psi front and rear from the dealer. I used a good digital tire gauge and put 32 psi in the rear and 28 in the front. I took her out in some tight twisties and sharp turns for a test run. It feels great and handles like a dream.

I also discovered they my rear shock was set to slot 1, which is for a 150 pound rider. I am 238 lbs. I clicked it up to the 3 position and it rides so much better over the bumps now.

I am having a lot of fun learning about my bike and trying new stuff. Thats whats its all about.
