Default Ride for Emily Keyes

Yesterday we made a charity run for Emily Keyes. you might remember on the 27th of sept in colorado there was a hostage situation at platte canyon school where a young girl and the suspect were killed.

it started at columbine school in littleton (the site of another multiple homicide several years ago) and meandered thru platte canyon to the school. it was a beautiful day to remember a sad day and help the victim's family and school. over 2000 bikes and riders showed up to support.

i just wish more rockets would show up to support... as you'll see in a few of the photos the only sportbikes to speak of are my zx7r and my gf's vfr... wtf!

by far the largest gathering i've ever been to... just wish it didn't have to be for such a horrible reason.

in every one of the pics the amount of bikes pictured is only about a 10th-20th of the actual amount of bikes there. i'd have had to be on one of the mountain tops to get them all in!

the ride was about 45 miles... when the first bikes were arriving at platte canyon school, the last bikes were still leaving columbine high school. can you imagine a 45 mile string of bikes? every stoplight we went thru was blocked by the police and cars waited as we went by for over an hour.

It's good to see so many people supporting the cause for Emily and her family.
