Question Exhausted

It's time to get an exhaust for the bike (the bike has been ready for a while but my wallet hasn't.) I took off my stock just to mess around and started it up and it sounds aaaaaaaaaawwwsome. Deep at an ideal and mean as hell at higher RPMs. So i was thinking will it hurt my bike to ride it without a muffler just the header and could i just open up my stock pipe and remove all/some baffles and see how it sounds or would there be a loss from doing either of these. How will this effect my back pressure etc. BTW I ride an 05 ZZR600 which is the same as an 00-02 zx6r any info would be great and would love some specific if possible thx in advance.

Hoedogg is right; don't do that, for a variety of mechanical and social reasons. Your bike won't like it and neither will your neighbors.

Agreed. Too much noise for one. Plus, the motor needs back pressure to perform. Not to mention the possibilities of burning a valve up.

I understand about the back preasure part. The was actually looking in here to find the answer to the second part of his question. Can you/him anyone take the baffle out of the muffler and it not cause any serious problems? By the way I Ride a 2000 ZX-12R. I saw a guy on You Tube say he took the baffle out of his ZX-12 and it sounded really nice online. Any help on this would be greatly appriciated.

Your neighbors and your engine will become "serious problems." Don't do it.

I do not own a 12 either. But if you know what that tuning is for, then go for it. I prefer keeping an exhaust of some type.
