Default Better Buy... 2003 zx6r rr or a 2001 zx6r

the rr is stock and $4000, 5800 miles

the 6r is jetted/pipe, $5000, 6000 miles
comes ith helmet and jacket

im looking at them 2morrow, so i need to know now...also what kind of performance can i expect?

I don't have a lot of experience in the ZX6 bikes, but if you want my opinion, Take the 2003 rr. Two years newer and a thousand dollars cheaper. Take the extra grand you saved, and buy some kick as$ mods for it. Then you can personalize the way you want it and have a newer bike. JMO of course.....

thx, thats what i plan on doing...both bikes are green...they both have about 6k miles...is that a lot on a kaw? how many miles do kaw engines last for?

As with any engine, the life is fully dependent upon how it is driven and how you maintain it. keep up maintenance and spare the redline, could get you 100K.

I have 33,000 miles on mine. Still fires up in the cold mornings and runs like a brand new one. It's my first Kawi, and best used bike I ever bought. You can't go wrong with green. 6k miles is nothing. Friend of mine had a water cooled touring bike and got 270,000 miles on her before the tranny shelled. The motor was still running. Do like kwininja88 said, it'll last a long time...
