This is my first post ever, and I could use a little advice.
Just bought an 09 klx250s with a b&b 351 big bore kit and mikuni pumper installed. The bike works well but I am concerned about longevity. It seems to run real hot. Has anyone had any long term experience with this set up?
It still has the stock exhaust.
Any advice, comments or observations would be appreciated

Check out the klx section, and do a search. There has been a few big bore mods done. Just not sure if they were of the 351cc. Good luck.

Might be a bit lean, have a look in the KLX250 section

 

Check the carb for proper setup. make sure your getting the mixture of fuel. You can try replacing the stock exhaust. Many after market exhaust systems are designed to allow more air-flow and better heat disipation, which makes the bike run cooler.

Whats "HOT" ???
I would only be worried if.. the Radiator fan doesn't come on....... or its on all the time
or the indicator is always in the "red".
