always thought of these as great bikes never had the chance to own one growing up finally got one gave to me. its a barn rescue did some work on my buddies scooter and took this in payment. looking to restore it back it is said to run but i have yet to try it. looking for some gen.. info on the bike need to know stuff does the 250 have the same timing chain tension problems as the 650s??

I have not played with the klr too much so I would not have an answer to your question. Although, I will say that most kawi's have had issues with the CCT, so I would prolly consider your question as worth while and adjust it or add the manual tensioner.
