I'm trying to decide on a jacket. I'll eventually get some leather pants but not for a few months. But as for the jacket, I'm looking at the leather Icon hero or the timax both would be black. Anyone have any insights on either of these? I think the timax looks like the collar is to high? I'm also looking at a joe rocket kawaski zx jacket, it's the canadian version and is mostly black http://www.joerocket.com/affiliates/...roducts_id=504
I did try on a joe rocket jacket and I measured myself to be a 42 chest but the 44 jacket felt tight with just a t-shirt and 46 felt great. So I guess you can't go by their charts really.

Any info or suggestions would be helpful.

same thing with icon, try it on before you buy it or make sure that whomever you buy it from has a desent return policy and be prepared to ship and wait. id go with the hero jacket myself but their textiles are great jackets too. the color isnt that bad but it is kinda up there. cant speak for anything joe rocket as i dont own any of their gear. good luck.

 

The icon timax I'm looking at is the leather one not the textile. I definately want to go with a leather jacket. If anyone has any other brands let me know. I don't know if I want to go with something that matches the green on the bike comletely to be coordinated or just have something more universal like some of the icon jackets.

I am abit prejudiced, but you asked for an opinion on other apparel. I like my Z custom leathers stuff.

 

I saw one of your posts I think when I did a search. Z leather is pretty nice.

Damn, I may have to go custom. Nothing feels quite right. I have a 42 chest but I'm 6'3 and a half and 35" arm length so arms seem short on some jackets, joe rocket is ok but it is maybe a little short in length. Shift Octane jackets seem to fit good and are pretty good in length. Now I may just hold off for a while. Anyone else my size with a jacket they like that's not custom?

coops, i take it you tried on the timax ? i went and tried on the leather one and the neck does stick up alot on it. the textile one isnt as bad but still alittle annoying.

 

Thats probably Canadian pricing on the Joe Rocket jacket.......so it should be less....depending on what the current exchange rate is.
