No that's just where the class is being held, the Air National Guard base.

And are motorcycle boot sizes the same as shoe size? Or are they slightly different?

No I'm in CT, the course is at the base in East Granby (which happens to be my hometown).

Speaking of which, if anyone is from CT do they know of any stores that carry Icon gear?

this is exactly what i would do if i were in your situation. i know they got to have a wallmart, k mart pigly wiggly or some sort of store where you can get a pair of cheap boots that will last through the course.

if you want some killer deals on icon stuff, click the speedwerks banner up top and put in your e mail and they will e mail you back some sweet prices on icon gear.

good luck

If this is your first time, dont own a bike and dunno if your going to keep up with it.....get cheap boots and cheap gloves. Dont need to do like some of us and have $1200 leathers, $200 boots and $150 gloves.

+1

During the MSF course, you will be putting your gloves on and taking them off alot, so take something comfortable, yet grippy. I had an old pair of BMX gloves i used, and they worked fine. Some boots with ankle protection would be a good idea though, but you don't need race boots for that.

Dude buy what you will wear while you ride your bike on a regular. Don't spend a lot on bs. Spend your money on the gloves you see yourself wearing for the entire season and boots the same way. If you get out the class and see yourself in a pair of timbo's and some of those cheat mechanic gloves, than get them.
