MX boots and sportbike boots...?

MX boots and sportbike boots...?
Most of them look about the same...but what is the difference...are they mostly interchangable? I know tread pattterns are different and that mx boots lack toe sliders(what are those for anyways?) but both types have shin and ankle protection. Would an MX boot take a drop at street speed and let your feet live through it? Oh yeah..and MX boots are WAY more expensive..... So help?lol

RE: MX boots and sportbike boots...?
MX boots are much stiffer than sportbike boots. I have both but would never wish to ride the Ducati with my Oxtar MX boots. There is not much of a functional problem the other way though. The protection is designed differently also. Obviosly based on the anticipated impact types and locations associated with each type of riding.
BTW: Toe sliders are exactly what they are called. Depending on how you place your feet on the pegs on a sportbike, you can occasionally drag a toe in a corner.
