projectroc- what kind of paint did you use for the frame/swingarm? Did you take everything off the frame, or just mask the engine and stuff?

I'm thinkin about painting mine black too.

Very good read. I liked the marbling techniques. (I have noticed three spelling errors and two gramatical errors thus far. )

I've done some painting. Nothing I would do for an actual finish, at this point. We'll see if I do my own bike, or decide to have it sent out.

I painted my Astro's grill, which looks decent, but it's for a piece of crap, so quality wasn't my main concern. Got it done in my grandma's garage at under 2 hours while finishing up the last coat of clear on her table. I used DupliColor High Performance wheel paint and their clear coat.

Also did some interior painting on my Cougar three to five years back. Didn't use clear on this.

I plan on painting the whole van flat black with Wal-Mart $1 rattle-can. Wanting to tape-off some tribal flames or designs. Maybe a Punisher skull on the roof, who knows. It's a piece of junk I bought for work. Had to sell my Bronco because work paid me per mile on my own rig, and gas was killing me because I was losing money. Got the van because it was cheap. If you saw my "Friends' Rides" thread, you know how we can be. I'm not gonna destroy it, but Mad Max is my hero.

Painting is all about taking your time and prep work. I painted my bike myself but I am a painter for a living too.
