Random Stalling

I have a 2003 800 Vulcan Classic with 9,000 miles. Every once in awhile, while in any gear, it will just stall and the engine stops. If I wait for 3-5 minutes, it will start up and run normally. One time about 1 month ago I had to repeat this routine 3 times in about 6 miles. Since that time it ran fine for about a month. Today while in 2nd gear it stopped again. I waited, tried twice to start and it wouldn't start (I just filled the gas tank last night). I switched to reserve tank and it started up fine???? Got any pointers on what might be causing the random engine stops? Thanks...

sounds like something might be clogging the main line

Could be something unrelated to fuel, loosebattery cables andvibration comes to mind.

So if you keep the ride on reserve all of the time, does it still have this prob?
