Hello all, I just joined due to purchasing a 1990 Vulcan 750. I have noticed (after buying) that the fuel leaks out from under the filler cap on the tank. It does have a new, sealing gasket, but seems to be coming from the ventalation tube. Is this a known issue ? or any suggestions ??

I laid my 2002 down on gravel and fuel leaked down the tank to the ground and
continued to do so until the bike was lifted up. Not good. Just got back from a 150 mile ride--glad it didn't explode!!!!

 

I'm about to buy a 1990 750 and the tank is leaking from underneath. Well the owner said it is.

 

I'd try new tubes.
