leakage for shock

my girlfriends bike is leaking from the left front shock. is this normal. How do I test it.

Is it leaking from the shock, or the forks? If the shock is leaking, then it is time to replace it. IF it is the fork leaking, then it is time for new fork seals.

But I do think it's a good idea to have chicks pointing out stuff in future pics!
